FASTING--- DAY 4 Reflection

Hello Xanga people! I'm now on multiply! jensomeone.multiply.com but wanted to share this here anyway!

-Jen

Happy New Year to all and Happy Fasting to friends and spiritual family! Fourth day! Wuhu! 2006 was a year paired with many breakthroughs (…arranging songs, recording… getting a well-paying part time job as a Berlitz International Language Instructor… Meeting God’s best! Wuhu!) and trials (Our producers and heads leaving for the States and deciding to stay, details in getting the record done, striving to see some goal and direction for our music despite our leaders absence.The death of my uncle and the close call with my sister’s Dengue right before Christmas!) But God is in control as always… and despite the darkest moments and scenarios that attempt to loom and threaten the promises, the vision and the dreams… I refuse to accept that these things were done for nothing. But I also know that our God is a God of seasons…who plants and uproots when needed. Definitely I know I was partnered with my indie label for production but for local release and career paths, I know God will provide someone who has the time, resources and presence to work hands on in sending me out as an artist into the mission field He has called me. These days of fasting have been intense and even in the midst of it, breakthroughs are already overwhelming.

           God is already opening doors for other opportunities in my professional life and I know He will continue and give me the wisdom that is needed with it. God has given the man I love the confident expectancy of complete restoration and healing of his physical condition. ..and also the salvation of his family. I’ve been freed from plaguing fears and doubts about my future…. Relationships in spiritual family have been restored and bridges have been rebuilt. God has taken Leo and I into a season of courtship and friendship that is even purer and more amazing than ever before. God has given me peace and excitement about my future as I face it in faith and hope in HIM. God’s Word has come alive in a more powerful way. God has birthed a powerful prayer circle with two sisters in Christ that I’ve grown to trust and love… and God has birthed a greater hunger and desire to seek Him in prayer this year.

            There are oh so many more dreams and visions that sprung forth just this prayer and fasting that I’m hiding in my heart and holding on to them. One thing is for sure---I’m holding on to my God as He molds me and works on my behalf…and I know HE holds me and the whole world in the palm of His HAND! God is powerful, great and REAL….and HE is a God that will provide you inexplicable peace, joy and hope in the midst of great trial! HE is our source! But the thing is, God never forces Himself on us…we must desire to seek Him, to know Him and His good, pleasing and perfect plan for us! And HE WILL TAKE YOU ON A WHOLE DIFFERENT LEVEL OF WALKING BY FAITH!

But I’m confident that as I walk with the “shoes of the gospel of peace” …I will walk on FIRM GROUND. AND I WILL CLIMB THE HEIGHTS! Friends, these shoes are far greater than the NIKES that tell you to “Just do it” and the adidas that tell you “IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING”. Although amazing slogans, I believe they are incomplete! NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR GOD. And as you DO IT WITH GOD, AS YOU ALLOW HIM  TO “DO IT” through you… BE BAFFLED! BE AMAZED! BE EXPECTANT FOR HIM TO SHOW UP AND TAKE YOU FROM GLORY TO GLORY, FAITH TO FAITH AND STRENGTH TO STRENGTH! J

Lord, I love you! Truly you are BEYOND AMAZING! And even if I still can’t see beyond the step I am on… I WILL PRAISE YOU and TRUST YOU!

Amen!

Current mood: jubilant
Current music: The Unexpected SOng

Glory to Glory :)
I am so glad and thankful that things did NOT turn out at all the way I had planned it in my head. Strange, but when I experienced how things began to unfold before me-I was amazed.

You see, March 2005 was big for me I would be closing the door to a long waiting room to finally step out and begin my life. I would be entering the so-called "real-world" out of the sheltered walls of my beloved University where so many memories were made and I must say probably is the most beautiful campuses in the Nation. But when I see the grounds, I am grateful for my time there but I do not find myself wishing I was still there. I firmly felt in my gut that season was over and I was ready to take my next steps into my destiny.

Music :Songwriting and performing was always something that I knew was passionate about. And I knew I was willing to even go off as a Flight Attendant in order to have the time and finances to pursue it. And even after attending an aspiring flight attendant seminar... I saw that doors were closed to the airlines that I wanted to work for. Others required me to move to the middle east where working on my music seemed out the window again.

But its true that HE knows best. He knows my design and placed me in a company where I have the flexibility of time, my different strengths are maximized, I am able to make a social contribution... and I am able to be exposed to so many different things. Just last week, I was able to go to the Tower Club in Phil-AM life tower... and the Horizon Lounge in Shangrila Hotel.

And at the same time, I am having the chance to record our demo as a full-band at very reasonable costs...be a part of a begginning exclusive Music Club... Also... I was able to go and see the MTV PILIPINAS music awards... in the VIP section and walk down the red carpet (not really yet as an artist...) BUT.. who knows what next year could bring? I'm so excited and READY to ROCK.. because I know I am walking not on my own strength,my own effort or ideas alone.

I AM SKYINSPIRED... hence my journal.:)http://www.livejournal.com/users/skyinspired

There is no other way to REALLY LIVE but by the skies!
A navigator of a ship does not look to the shore but to the skies!
BE inspired. BELIEVE.. LIVE!
YOU only HAVE ONE LIFE!

KIDS AND GOD

A Sunday school teacher asked her class, "What was Jesus' mother's name?"
One child answered, "Mary."
The teacher then asked, "Who knows what Jesus' father's name was?"
A little kid said, "Verge."
Confused, the teacher asked, "Where did you get that?"
The kid said, "Well, you are always talking about Verge n' Mary.

~~~
3-year-old, Reese:
"Our Father, Who does art in heaven, Harold is His name.
Amen."
~~~

A little boy was overheard praying:
"Lord, if you can't make me a better boy, don't worry about it.
I'm having a real good time like I am."

~~~
A Sunday school class was studying the Ten Commandments.
They were ready to discuss the last one.
The teacher asked if anyone could tell her what it was.
Susie raised her hand, stood tall, and quoted,
"Thou shall not take the covers off the neighbor's wife."
~~~

After the christening of his baby brother in church, Jason
sobbed all the way home in the back seat of the car.

His father asked him three times what was wrong. Finally, the
boy replied, "That preacher said he wanted us brought
up in a Christian home, and I wanted to stay with you guys."

~~~
I had been teaching my three-year old daughter, Caitlin, the
Lord's Prayer for several evenings at bedtime, she would repeat
after me the lines from the prayer. Finally, she decided to go
solo. I listened with pride as she carefully enunciated each word
right up to the end of the prayer: "Lead us not into temptation,"
she prayed, "but deliver us some E-mail.
~~~

One particular four-year-old prayed, "And forgive us our trash
baskets as we forgive those who put trash in our baskets."

~~~
A Sunday school teacher asked her children, as they were on the
way to church service, "And why is it necessary to be quiet in
church?" A little girl replied, "Because people are sleeping."
~~~

Six-year-old Angie and her four-year-old brother Joel were sitting
together in church. Joel giggled, sang, and talked out loud.
Finally, his big sister had had enough. "You're not supposed to talk
out loud in church."
"Why? Who's going to stop me?" Joel asked.
Angie pointed to the back of the church and said, "See those two men
standing by the door? They're hushers."

~~~
A mother was preparing pancakes for her sons, Kevin, 5 and Ryan 3.
The boys began to argue over who would get the first pancake.
Their mother saw the opportunity for a moral lesson.
"If Jesus were sitting here, He would say, 'Let my brother have
the first pancake, I can wait.'"
Kevin turned to his younger brother and said, "Ryan, you be Jesus!"
~~~

A father was at the beach with his children when the four-year-old
son ran up to him, grabbed his hand, and led him to the shore
where a seagull lay dead in the sand.
"Daddy, what happened to him?" the son asked.
"He died and went to Heaven," the Dad replied.
The boy thought a moment and then said, "Did God throw him back down?"

~~~
A wife invited some people to dinner.  At the table, she turned to
their six-year-old daughter and said, "Would you like to say the
blessing?" "I don't know what to say," the girl replied.
"Just say what you hear Mommy say," the wife answered.
The daughter bowed her head and said, "Lord, why on earth did I
invite all these people to dinner?"
